Fire Safety & Building Inspections

Fire safety at the University is regulated by the North Carolina Fire Code (NCFC) and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). The Department of Insurance (DoI) Office of State Fire Marshal (OSFM) and North Carolina Department of Labor Occupational Safety and Health (NCDOL-OSH) enforces these regulations by conducting building and safety inspections at least annually. The Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) office conducts building inspections on a regular basis to protect the campus community and ensure regulatory compliance.
