Darius Griffin, MPA, CSP, ARM

I joined UNC Charlotte in 2001 and have served as the Director of Environmental Health and Safety since 2008. I support the University’s mission of teaching, research and service by providing strategic leadership, regulatory compliance oversight and operational services for a campus-wide environmental, health and safety management system.

I earned my Bachelor of Sciences degree in Occupational Safety and Health from The North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University and Master of Public Administration from The University of North Carolina at Pembroke. In addition, I’m a graduate of Leadership North Carolina Class XX and a Certified Safety Professional (CSP).

In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my wife and two daughters, volunteering, gardening and traveling.
